How much does bookkeeping cost?

Monthly bookkeeping starts at $199 a month. That includes transaction categorization, bank and credit card reconciliation, and monthly financial statements so you know where the business stands each month.

The starting price works for businesses with lower transaction volume and fewer accounts to reconcile. Pricing increases with the scope of work. More transactions mean more categorization and reconciliation time. Multiple bank accounts, credit cards, or payment processors add complexity. Several revenue streams or more detailed reporting needs will affect the price too.

Add-on services like bill payment and invoicing each start at $99 a month. Bill payment keeps your accounts payable current so vendors get paid on time. Invoicing manages your accounts receivable and follows up on what’s owed to you.

Payroll is separate, starting at $99 per pay run. Tax preparation is also a separate service. At Smart Outsourced Solutions, Simona is a CPA and Enrolled Agent who keeps your bookkeeping and tax services under one roof.

If your books are behind or were never properly set up, catch-up bookkeeping is priced based on how many months need to be cleaned up and how messy the records are. That’s a one-time project to get things current before moving to ongoing monthly work.

What makes a CPA and Enrolled Agent different from a regular bookkeeper?
